Hoze Maria Guti Former Real Madrid player

Guti: "Mou should have shown a bit more humility"

Guti: "We expected big things from him. Not just in terms of trophies, but when you've had your worst season, showing a bit more humility would have done us all a favour"

Guti: "It's been a let-down for all Madrid fans. I haven't been there to see what's been going on in the dressing room day after day, but if you have a four-year contract and then you want to leave as soon as you have an average or bad season, I think it's fair to say he's jumped ship. That's the way we see it, anyway"

Guti: "The most recent comments from Pepe, Cristiano and Iker do give the impression that the situation had become untenable. Maybe he thought that it [leaving] would be in Real Madrid's best interests. Mou will have success anywhere he goes and he has my full respect. I wish him the best; I've always said that he's a top coach who would probably have achieved even more if he'd stayed longer"

Guti about Ancelotti. "I'll back any coach who gets Real Madrid winning things – that's what's most important. I don't know if Ancelotti is the right man or not. I might have preferred a coach more committed to playing good football, but I think he has proven himself as a manager and that's what's attracted Real Madrid".

Guti: I don't want a position at Madrid like Zidane's. I just want to say Goodbye yet to fans at the place where I played 14 years; Bernabeu.
